The Coastal Hiking Trail

Reaching Anse Marron requires a demanding 6-7 km round-trip hike along the southern tip of La Digue.

The route consists of unmarked paths through jungle foliage, wading in ocean water, and scrambling over granite boulders. A certified local guide is mandatory because paths disappear quickly at high tide.

Expect to spend 6 to 7 hours total on this route. You need sturdy closed-toe shoes to safely navigate the sharp rocks and slippery surfaces.
